30 prisoners exchanged for six hostages
Israel has freed 30 prisoners in exchange for six hostages held by Hamas.
This was made possible after Hamas put up the list of hostages it wanted to release moments before the truce came to an end yesterday.
The truce extension is only for 24 hours.
The six are made up of five adults and one child.
Earlier two hostages were released by Hamas.
Qatar that has been spearheading negotiations between the two parties have confirmed a total of 10 hostages would be released.
Two more released hostages were Russian Israeli nationals who were freed a day earlier.
The current war in Gaza was sparked off by Hamas attack on 7 Oct. They managed to take over 200 hostages from during the attack.
