Jordan, Eygpt leaders meet over ongoing crisis

King Abdullah of Jordan and President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi of Egypt had a meeting in Cairo to discuss bilateral issues as well as the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

A statement Sissi’s office confirmed that Jordan and Egypt would reject any moves that would create an influx of refugees.

Both leaders called upon the international community to push for ceasefire, increase aid and a settlement that leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the borders in 1967 with east Jerusalem as the capital.

Egypt is crystal clear that it will not accept Palestinian refugees.
