RM30 million for Indian entrepreneurs via Tekun Nasional plan underway

The Cooperative and Entrepreneur Development Ministry (KUSKOP) is planning to increase allocations amounting to RM30 million for the Indian Community Entrepreneur Development Program Scheme (SPUMI) under Tekun Nasional.

Deputy Minister Datuk R Ramanan said the proposal was received by minister Datuk Ewon Benedick who would be raising the matter with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“I understand many entrepreneurs are in need of support and assistance. We will provide the best,” Ramanan said via his Facebook.

Ramanan added that Ewon also told him to look into other necessities that would benefit the Indian community.

He said this in reference to SME Corp, Cooperative Commission and other related agencies under the ministry.
