Mahathir, Daim, Muhyiddin & Pas chooses political battle against Anwar
Over the years Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has not shied away from those who seek to do him political harm, meets any threats and challenges to his political survival head-on.
When called upon to confront political adversaries, he does so with courage and relish – fully aware of what success or failure, would bring him.
Over the years, we have all watched Anwar fight his political battle always against those who are bigger, stronger, and seemingly, against odds overwhelmingly stacked against him.
My friends, consider yourself privileged to now have a front seat to be witness to what will possibly be the mother of all political battles for Anwar Ibrahim and also for us.
Never has the need for Anwar to triumph been more critical, for him and for us, than now. Failure would allow PAS and Bersatu, to take political ascendency and plunge our nation into the unimaginable abyss of race and religious politics that would make May 13th, a walk in the park.
Never has the reason and rationale for his success been more vital for Malaysia and Malaysians because it will decide the future of OUR Malaysia.
Let us be clear on several things.
DSAI did not opt for political battles against Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tun Daim Zainuddin, Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin, Pas, and the others who are now aligned against him.
They chose him.
Anwar battles corruption
Why they have done so has become increasingly clear. Anwar has committed his government to reform, and fighting corruption. Reforms are a work in progress.
The ‘fighting corruption’ part has begun in earnest and made Mahathir, Daim, Muhyiddin, PAS, and the others who are now aligned against DSAI, worried for their well-being.
What Anwar has decided to do in the fight against corruption is to go after the big fish! And they do not get any bigger than Daim.
Instead of waiting “for the other smaller big fish” to be hauled in, Mahathir, Daim, Muhyiddin, PAS, and the others who are now aligned against Anwar, they are trying to take the battle to Anwar without success!
My take on the situation is simply this: If the incumbent prime minister and his cabinet have the political will to rid our nation of corruption, then the battle is already won.
Damn what they say about political prosecution. Damm what lies and hearsay they are now throwing against PMX and his Cabinet.
Politics for Anwar Ibrahim has never been about being PMX. it is about what he can do as PMX. He is now PMX so let us watch him do his work for us.
Today, here and now, his focus is on getting rid of corruption… then, now and forever. Let us wish him well and pray for his success!
