PN failed in its mission
DAP veteran Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang has delivered a verdict for the opposition. The verdict is Perikatan Nasional (PN) failed in its mission to topple Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“They have failed and there will be no more “backdoor” Prime Ministers in Malaysia.
“Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri will be the country’s two backdoor Prime Ministers and they will go down in history as two persons not decided by the majority in Parliament as provided in the Malaysian Constitution,” he said in a statement.
The retired veteran also pointed out that the Green Wave that PN was riding on has lost its steam.
This seems to be the case since it peaked during the state polls but failed to change the status quo.
“But the Green Wave triggered by the Perikatan Nasional in the 15th General Election reached its peak before the six state general elections in August last year and the PN was unable to capture the Selangor or Negri Sembilan state governments.
“Now that he is assured of political stability for the next three to four years, the time has come for Anwar to focus on national unity and to deliver the various institutional reforms he had promised,” said Lim.
In the latest attempt, the opposition have been linked to the Dubai Move but leaders of PN have distanced themselves from this plot.
