PM: PN doesn’t even have the numbers for a no-confidence motion
The opposition bloc, Perikatan Nasional (PN) does not even have the numbers for a no-confidence motion, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“We have been waiting but there is nothing.
“I don’t think it has the strength to bring this motion in Parliament,” he said after meeting Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) management and workers today.
He added that talks of Dubai Move could just be propaganda from PN to maintain the morale and faith of its own supporters.
He also adviced them to focus on their work for the people instead of attempting to bring about a change in government.
A few weeks ago, Community Communication Department deputy head, Datuk Ismail Yusop claimed that the opposition is working on a Dubai Move to force a change in government.
The opposition bloc has denied the claim.
Anwar further criticised the Dubai Move as a desperate ploy by those losing support.
“I have advised my Cabinet ministers, leadership and even the government as a whole that the focus should be on national development.
“The government’s focus for this year is to develop our country and strengthen the economy,” he said.
