A long wait to see a wolf punished

Selangor Pas has distanced itself from its president Tan Sri Hadi Awang after Sultan Sharafudin Idris Shah delivered a royal rebuke against Hadi’s insolence.

Hadi is not a first time offender. He had displayed his insolence previously to other parties as well in the past.

Even more worrying is that this trait is also adopted by others in his party.

Pas election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor is a perfect example of Hadi’s disciple.

He ran into trouble over remarks against the same sultan some months back.

Latest reports indicate that the police is investigating Hadi.

It is not the first time Hadi is being probed by the police force.

How long more should the public wait before Hadi is charged, found guilty and undergo the penalty?

How much more patience does the Muslim community have for the wolves in sheep clothing like Hadi?

He claims to be a man of faith but he rides on faith for the sake of power.

It is a long wait for anyone to see Hadi being punished for all the transgressions that he has committed since the 1980s.

The Amanat Hadi that he delivered then had caused a split among the Malay community.

He has also insulted the minorities, the Sarawak bumiputera and others. It is a wonder if there are groups unaffected by him.

The man is already 76. He may be in his sunset years.

The failure of the authorities that results in him going scot free would only give the wrong signal to the rest of Malaysians.

Some are already wondering whether they would see Hadi behind bars during their lifetime.
