PM on a four day official visit to Australia tomorrow

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to visit Australia on a four day official visit beginning tomorrow.

His inaugural visit to Australia would see him attending the Second Annual Leaders Meeting tomorrow and the Special ASEAN -Australia Summit on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Both events are scheduled to be held in Melbourne.

China Press reported that Foreign Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan would be among the top dignitaries accompanying Anwar.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Anwar will witness the exchange of memorandums of cooperation on matters such as scientific research cooperation in higher education, technical and vocational education, youth and sports, cyber security, and the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT).

Wisma Putra said both leaders would also discuss measures to strengthen strategic partnership framework between the two countries in trade and investment, education, digital economy, and cybersecurity at the Malaysia-Australia Leaders’ Meeting.
