DAP leaders and members visited a bak kut teh shop. They ordered chicken and vegetarian version along side the traditional pork versions.

DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang, Klang MP V Ganabatirau, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng, Bandar Baru Klang assemblyperson Dr Quah Perng Fei and Klang Bak Kut Teh Association representative Benjamin Tan were among the top guns at the event.

Journalists too were invited to join in for a meal hosted by Yeoh Bak Kut Teh restaurant, located at Klang Hokkien Association before a press conference was called.

Both Sin Chew Daily and Nanyang Daily frontpaged Minister at the Chinese Embassy of Malaysia, Zheng Xuefang. The former however highlighted that China is considering to implement visa free travel policy permanently for Malaysia – China travellers. The policy was initiated in December 2023.

Nanyang Daily meanwhile headlined Zheng refuting claims made by the Western media against China’s economy.
