Minister joined ops for the homeless

Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa joined the Integrated Operation to Save the Homeless early this morning to collect vital data regarding the homeless in Kuala Lumpur.

The operation is a joint operation involving Federal Territories Department, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (KLCH), police, National Security Council, Immigrations, National Registration Department, National Anti Drugs Agency, Health Department, SWCorp, Welfare Department and National Welfare Foundation involving 203 personnel.

Speaking of the ops, she said that it signifies the Madani government’s commitment to resolve the problem of homelessness.

“Today’s operations is vital in collecting data on the demography of the homeless so that we can find out the reasons and solutions that would be beneficial for them.

“The collected data would be important in aiding the agencies in restructuring the policies and existing regulations,” she said via X.

She also advised NGOs out there that are aiding in distributing food to contact the Urban Welfare and Community Development Department in KLCH since the authorities have designated three places for food distribution.

The three are Anjung Kembara, Pusat Khidmat Gelandangan Medan Tuanku and Pusat Pembelajaran Komuniti Chow Kit.
