Penang takes the 11th spot in Holiday Money Report

Penang has been featured as 11th best valued destination 2024 edition of Holiday Money Report. The report is by UK Post Office.

Included in the report is Worldwide Holiday Costs Barometer, it ranks the top 15 best valued cities based on estimated weekly expenses for meals, drinks, and other tourist items.

Penang stands out with a total weekly cost of just £74.57 (RM444.96), positioning it favorably ahead of renowned tourist hotspots like Phuket, Thailand, and closely trailing behind is Tokyo, Japan, in overall affordability for 2024.

The Holiday Money Report’s barometer, analyzed 40 global destinations, reveals that 90% of Post Office’s top traded currencies are weaker against the pound, resulting in lower prices in many locales.

Other parts of Malaysia have also been featured in ranking by various entities.

Kuala Lumpur earns recognition as a top holiday spot for 2024 in a survey conducted by Which?.

Which? is a UK-based consumer protection organization.

Additionally, Penang secures the 7th spot in DestinAsian’s 17th annual Readers’ Choice Awards for 2024.
