It is an old video from my campaign in 2022, Teo clarifies

A video featuring Xiao Tao criticising the BN, claiming the people have lost confidence in Malaysia under their rule is an old video from 2022 election campaign in Kulai, said DAP national publicity secretary, Teo Nie Ching.

“This video is not the latest video, nor is it Xiao Tao’s speech in Kuala Kubu Bharu. The speech being deliberately circulated now was made in Kulai, Johor when Xiao Tao campaigned for me in 2022,” Teo said.

“Please double-check before making baseless statements. There are many more videos of DAP leaders criticising BN and MCA.

“I believe there are also numerous videos of BN leaders criticising PH and DAP. I hope the MCA leader can be a bit more mature,” said Teo who is also Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching in a Facebook post.

The video was shared by MCA Youth chairman and Johor Exco Ling Tian Soon on Facebook.

Xiao Tao also known as Pang Sock Tao was Harapan’s candidate for Kuala Kubu Bharu by-election.

Pang assisted Teo in her campaign in Kulai .

Teo pointed out the video is an attempt to distort facts and incite hatred which is shameful.

“But when the Unity Government is formed, as mature leaders, we need to “move forward” and continue working to ensure the success of the Unity Government, she said, claiming that in the previous by-election, DAP had extended their support to the UMNO candidate in equal measure.

This principle is not something MCA is unaware of, commented Teo.

“After all MCA formed a government with PAS and Bersatu, wasn’t MCA very clear about this principle?” Teo said.
