Pang’s five priorities for Kuala Kubu Baharu

There are five major priorities that would be addressed by Pang Sock Tao if the majority of Kuala Kubu Baharu voters chooses her as their state assembly woman on 11 May.

First, is to boost the economic activity, she has set her eyes on local tourism and entrepreneurship.

In terms of facilities, the 31 year old wants to improve public transport and facilities. She also wants to raise the Internet speed in this semi rural mixed constituency.

On the environment front, Pang who graduated with a degree in electrical and electronical engineering wants to ensure sustainable development and maintaining the environment. She also wants to add more life to the recreational activities of the locals.

Pang also wants to launch initiatives that would preserve heritage and culture in this place.

As for the wellbeing of the people, Pang wants to ensure the welfare of the people is taken cared off.

She would be facing off Bersatu’s Khairul Azhari Saut, PRM’s Hafizah Zainuddin, and Independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin on election day.

The by-election was triggered by the passing of Kuala Kubu Baharu’s three-term incumbent Lee Kee Hiong on 21 March. Lee succumbed to cancer.

There are 40,226 voters. Of this, 21,480 are Malays, 12,268 Chinese, 6,362 Indians and 116 others.

In terms of age group, voters in the age group of 21-30 are the biggest group with 9,400.
