PKR marks 25th anniversary with a carnival on May 11

PKR will celebrate its 25th anniversary by organising a carnival comprising, among others, exhibitions and forum discussions, at Sentul Depot in Kuala Lumpur on May 11.

PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar said the party would also hold a thanksgiving ceremony and a dinner to celebrate the sacrifices and contributions of its members.

“The history of the establishment of this party, which began with various trials and tribulations until it matured into PKR’s struggle, culminating in PKR’s involvement in the national government, will be presented in the form of exhibitions, forum discourses and other activities throughout the carnival,” she said.

She was speaking at a press conference here today on the carnival, which some 10,000 visitors are expected to attend.

Government agencies would open mobile counters including summons payment counters, ID card application counters and counters related to halal certification.
