PM announces online meeting with Google
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that he would have an online meeting with tech giant, Google today.
“What we are focusing on right now is economic growth and I see that we do have a lot of interest from foreign investors,” he said during the Prime Minister’s Department monthly meeting, reported Bernama.
Last Thursday Harapan Daily reported Microsoft plans to invest RM10.5 billion in Malaysia for cloud and AI infrastructure by 2028, as announced by the company.
“This latest announcement by Microsoft is set to transform Malaysia into a leading digital hub regionally while targeting to skill 300,000 Malaysians, as well as powering up the nation’s economic growth and inclusivity through innovative, cutting-edge technology,” investment, trade and industry ministry said in a statement on last Thursday.
