Pang: PH is running a clean campaign

Pakatan Harapan’s Pang Sock Tao has dismissed opposition allegations that the government coalition did not abuse federal funds in campaigning in the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election scheduled to take place on May 11.

“I believe our campaign has abided by the law,” she told reporters after observing the early voting process at the Kuala Kubu Baharu police academy.

“The opposition can say whatever they want, but I am confident we have campaigned ethically and abided by the rules,” she added, reported Sinar Harian.

Pas secretary general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan yesterday claimed that they would contest the by-election results if Pang won as they claimed to have evidence of government abusing its assets during campaign.

Pang is in a four way fight to retain Kuala Kubu Baharu which is a semi urban, mixed constituency.

Her opponents are Bersatu’s Khairul Azhari Saut from Perikatan Nasional, Hafizah Zainuddin of Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) and Independent candidate, Nyau Ke Xin.
