Pang Sock Tao is concerned about special needs children in Kuala Kubu Baharu

Pang Sock Tao of Pakatan Harapan is concerned for children with special needs in Kuala Kubu Baharu.

“I understand that the special needs children at KKB are close to the heart of the late sister Lee Kee Hiong,” Pang said on her Facebook.

She said that these children required special attention, particularly in terms of learning and the ability to take care of their basic needs.

“After becoming a representative here, I hope to provide more initiatives to assist them, including educational programs and awareness-raising programs about the talents and issues concerning special needs children,” she said.

She said so after visiting the Community Rehabilitation Center (PPDK) in KKB alongside the EXCO for Women’s Development & Community Welfare cum Selangor State Legislative Assemblywoman for Taman Templer, Anfaal Saari, Duyong Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abd Halem, and (Hulu Selangor Municipal Council) MPHS Council Member Saripah Bakar.

The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election is slated for 11th May.

Pang is Harapan’s candidate for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.

Four candidates are contesting for the seat: Pang Sock Tao for DAP under Pakatan Harapan, Khairul Azhari Saut from Bersatu for Perikatan Nasional, Hafızah Zainuddin representing Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM), and Nyau Ke Xin running as an Independent candidate.

The by-election was triggered by the passing of its three-term incumbent, Lee Kee Hiong of the DAP.

DAP is hosting a commemorative event in honor of Lee Kee Hiong on May 9th.
