Don’t spread misinformation, says Hannah Yeoh

Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh advised the public not to spread misinformation about the condition of Harimau Malaya and Selangor FC star winger Faisal Halim.

“Thanks goodness, I was able to visit Faisal Halim earlier today with the Minister of Home Affairs.

“I urge everyone not to spread inaccurate versions of Faisal’s condition. Do not believe in fake news. Faisal is in good care. Let us pray for his speedy recovery,” Hannah said in her Facebook page.

Earlier today there was an Instagram account under the name Muhammad Imran Suresh spreading information related to the acid attack incident on national squad player Faisal

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has identified that the Instagram account as fake.

On May 5th, Faisal was attacked with acid in a Petaling Jaya shopping centre parking lot, resulting in severe fourth-degree burns across his face, neck, arms, and body, as confirmed by doctors, reported Nst.

He underwent two surgeries, one on May 5th and another one yesterday.

There will be third and fourth surgeries, said Harimau Malaya and Selangor FC SFC director, Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar.
