Five routes closed tomorrow for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election
Five routes around Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) will be closed temporary tomorrow for KKB by-election, said Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Ahmad Faizal Tahrim.
The temporary closure will start at 3 p.m. and continue until the polls are finished, reported NST.
“The closures and diversions involve Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Abdul Hamid, Jalan Dato Muda Jaafar, Jalan Mat Kilau, and Jalan Kamarudin,” he said.
Alternative routes available are Jalan Kubu, Jalan Dato Tabal, Jalan Rasathurai, Jalan Dato Balai, Jalan Syed Masyor, and Jalan Pahang.
He also reminded residents to adhere to instructions to facilitate traffic flow in the same statement.
The official vote tallying centre will be at the Multipurpose Hall and Sports Complex of the Hulu Selangor District and Land Office.
DAP’s Pang Sock Tao, will compete as Pakatan Harapan’s candidate in the upcoming Kuala Kubu Bahusharu by-election on May 11th.
The by-election comes after the passing of its three-term incumbent, Lee Kee Hiong, who was also from the DAP.
Other contenders include Khairul Azhari Saut from Bersatu, Hafızah Zainuddin from Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM), and Nyau Ke Xin, an Independent candidate.
