Woo the young voters, PH-BN told

A Selangor based think tank have urged the Pakatan Harapan – Barisan Nasional coalition to woo young voters.

“The unity coalition needs to devise a strategy for the young voters,” said Institut Darul Ehsan in its post Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election analysis.

The think tank made the call based on its aged based voting pattern.

Votes are split by two age groups.

PH-BN dominated votes of those aged 41 and above.

Perikatan Nasional dominated votes of those aged below 40.

IDE pointed out that it is pertinent for PH-BN to devise the strategy.

The lowest voter turnout for those aged between 18 to 24 years old is 53%.

The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election over the weekend saw DAP’s Pang Sock Tao of Pakatan Harapan trounce Bersatu’s Khairul Azhari Saut of PN with a majority of 3,869 votes in a four cornered fight to retain the semi-urban mixed constituency.
