RM700 million potential exports from Anwar’s Qatar trip
Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz revealed Malaysia secured potential exports of products and services from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s two day visit to Qatar.
“We have received commitments totalling RM700 million. It is a testament to the confidence of Qatari companies in our products and services.
“Besides that, we also see the potential of West Asia, which represents a large market that Malaysia can explore,” Tengku Zafrul told reporters after a dinner that was attended by 500 Malaysians.
Prior to that Anwar had a session with 45 Qatari captains of industry from 36 companies from various major sectors.
