Carbon trading bill to be tabled this year

Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli announced that it will table a bill on carbon trading by November this year.

The bill encompasses a progressive regulatory framework on carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS)

He made the announcement during a keynote address at OGSSE100 CEOs Forum.

“We have the opportunity to position Malaysia not just as a regional leader, but a global leader in CCUS and the government is doing everything we can do to ensure that we seize the opportunity,” he added.
