Iranian president Raisi, foreign minister Abdollahian confirmed dead

Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi has been confirmed dead in a fatal helicopter crash late last night.

Foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, 60, too died in the crash, reported state owned IRNA.

The 63 year old Raisi was elected president in 2021.
