TMJ’s escort under police probe

An escort of Johor regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, popularly known as TMJ, is under investigation for allegedly assaulting a disabled man at a hotel yesterday.

“An investigation paper has been opened under Section 323 (for causing voluntary hurt),” Bukit Aman criminal investigation department director Datuk Seri Shuhaily Zain said, reported FMT.

“There have been no arrests yet, so we don’t know why the man was assaulted. Even the disabled man who filed the report is not sure why he was assaulted.

“Investigations are being done based on CCTV recordings.”

Section 323 of the Penal Code stipulates that those convicted would be sentence one year in prison or a fine of upto RM2,000 or both.

The victim is a differently-abled Grab driver.
