Malaysia – China’s 50th diplomacy anniversary steals the spotlight

China Press, Guang Ming Daily, Kwong Wah Daily and Sin Chew Daily headlined the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations yesterday.

During the celebration in China, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi brought good news: China has agreed to extend Malaysia’s visa-free entry from the current 15 days to 30 days, effective from early June.

Nanyang Daily led with local Chinese media and business circles being ecstatic about China’s agreement to extend Malaysia’s visa-free entry to 30 days and hopes for reciprocity from Malaysia by announcing an extension of visa-free entry for Chinese citizens until the end of next year, or even implementing permanent visa-free measures between the two countries.

Nanyang Daily highlighted that parents shouldn’t reward kids only for grades. Parents should also focus on their children’s happiness, skills, and interests. The daily also said that creating a positive home fosters lasting motivation.

The daily said that praising children, rather than giving them gifts, encourages joy. Teaching children to value knowledge and lifelong learning leads to true growth, the daily added.
