Gua Musang MP confident his position is intact

Gua Musang MP Mohd Azizi Abu Naim who is among the six PM Anwar friendly MPs from Bersatu who was recently sacked from the party is confident that his position as a federal lawmaker remains intact.

He claimed he has and five colleagues has not received any official letter from the party regarding their expulsion.

“If you refer to the recently amended Article 10.4 of the party constitution, it states that party memberships is terminated automatically once we do not give feedback and abide by party rules,” he said, reported Berita Harian.

“This has been amended but this has got nothing to do with the party hopping act. Hence it is unfair for Bersatu to claim that we no longer qualify to be representatives of the people.

“I am confident that my position as a lawmaker is not affected because the Registrar of Societies is not linked at all to the Federal Constitution,” he said following the seating of the Kelantan state legislative assembly.

Azizi who is also Nenggiri state assemblyman added that he would continue serving the constituents of Nenggiri.
