Agong acquires ‘FFF1’ plate

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim successfully acquired the ‘FFF1’ licence plate with a winning bid of RM1.75 million.

In a Facebook post, His Majesty expressed hope that the proceeds from the bid, which will be directed to the federal government, would be utilized to assist the people.

“Special edition vehicle plate number FFF 1 belongs to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim after giving the highest bid of RM1.75 million for the number plate,” written in his Facebook page.

In conjunction with its 78 anniversary, the Road Transport Department (RTD) recently launched the “FFF ” series licence plates.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said that part of the revenue from the auctioned licence plates will be used as subsidies for certain initiatives, such as distributing free helmets at various events nationwide (including helmet replacement campaigns).

Loke explained that the FFF series follows the tradition of unveiling the “F” series each year at the department’s anniversary.
