Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Kamal Haasan discuss film industry, corruption
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with renowned Indian actor Kamal Haasan yesterday as the actor promote his film “Indian 2. They exchanged views on the film industry.
“During breaks from official duties, I had the opportunity to spend time with the well-known Indian artiste and superstar, Kamal Haasan.
“We had about 30 minutes to talk and exchange views on the film industry, including our stance against corruption,” Anwar said via a Facebook post, reported Bernama.
Indian 2 is set to premiere globally in theatres on July 12, 2024.
Kamal, aged 70, is in Kuala Lumpur to promote “Indian 2,” the sequel to his 1996 blockbuster film “Indian.”
Released in 1996, “Indian” stars Kamal as a freedom fighter battling corruption in India.
On another note, the actor also helms a political party which has the same name as Anwar’s PKR.
