Where 2023 GDP per capita is concerned, PN administered states are at the bottom

The 2023 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita statistics from Department of Statistics puts all four Perikatan Nasional administered states at the bottom.

The four PN administered states are Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis and Kelantan.

The only state with a GDP per capita below RM20,000 is Kelantan. It merely obtained RM16,836.

The PN state with the highest GDP per capita is Terengganu that obtained RM31,111.

The national average GDP per capita is RM55,157.00

Only five states and federal territories obtained GDP per capita above the national average.

The five are Kuala Lumpur (including Putrajaya) – RM131,038, Labuan – RM83,596, Penang – RM72,586, Sarawak – RM72,411 and Selangor – RM62,492.
