Esha’s mother lodges police report against three who discuss about her daughter
Puspa Rajagopal, the mother of deceased social media influencer A Rajeswary, better known as Esha, lodged police reports against two men and a woman in connection to the cyberbullying that her daughter endured.
The three individuals had uploaded videos and conducted live sessions targeting her daughter, she said.
“Throughout this week, I was informed that there were videos and live broadcasts uploaded by the three individuals in question, discussing Esha,” she told reporters after filing the report at the Gombak district police headquarters today.
She also said that in the live social media broadcast, the woman questioned Esha’s previous detention by the police.
Puspa had lodged a police report against suspended policewoman Inspector Sheila Sharon, Indian Muslim convert preacher Zamri Vinoth and Mohd Sophian Mohd Zain.
Puspa said that the discussions about her daughter caused her to experience chest pain twice this week.
“My daughter has passed away, but they still talk about her. I got chest pain twice after watching the videos and live sessions.
“In the live sessions, they called my daughter rude. Hearing their insults broke my heart because we have our dignity too.
“Even the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) and ministers have spoken out against the cyberbullying of my daughter, but it continues to happen,” she said.
“I hope this cyberbullying will stop because I don’t want others to go through what I am experiencing as a mother who has lost her child due to cyberbullying,” she said.
She also said that while two suspects have been remanded, upto seven more individuals are implicated in this case.
