Young and experienced candidate for BN in Nenggiri

Umno vice president Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani confirmed that the BN coalition would field a young candidate who has on-the-ground experience in the upcoming Nenggiri by-election, slated Aug 17.

“Of course we’ve chosen a young candidate, with on-the-ground (experience).

“We cannot field someone just by plucking the person from the sky.

“It must be someone who comes (with ground experience),” he said after officiating the Masjid Tanah Umno division meeting here, today.

Yesterday Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirmed that the party has identified one of the three shortlisted candidates.

Gua Musang Umno division previously had shortlisted three candidates.

The three are Kelantan Umno Youth chief Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani who is also Gua Musang Umno Youth chief, Gua Musang Umno information chief Amran Arifin and the division’s Wanita chief Nor Fadzlete Aryani Mat Rosli.
