Digital education policy, AI on border security among key issues in Dewan Rakyat

Digital education policy comes into the focus as Ahmad Johnie Zawawi (GPS-Igan) questions the Education Minister on the number of competent teachers who are able to apply digital technology in the teaching and learning process in Sarawak.

The issue of artificial intelligence as means to fortify border security is raised by Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan (BN-Kuala Pilah) to the Home Minister.

Opposition lawmaker Dr Siti Mastura Muhammad (PN-Kepala Batas) raises the issue of registered digital libraries and the initiatives taken by the National Unity Ministry in encouraging the youth to use them.

Four amendments would be tabled for first reading. The four are Arbitration Bill, Construction Industry Adjudication and Payment Bill, Medical Bill and Infectious Disease Control and Prevention.

A total of seven bills are scheduled for second reading with the first being Sexual Offences Against Children Bill.
