Azmin rejects Muhyiddin’s Bersatu sec-gen post offer?
Media reports emerged claiming that Selangor Bersatu chief Datuk Seri Azmin Ali has declined the offer made by party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for the former to be Bersatu secretary general.
Currently Hulu Kelang assemblyman, Azmin has been reported to have conveyed his wishes to the rest of Selangor Bersatu division heads.
On July 13, Muhyiddin had proposed for his current deputy, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu to take a back seat and vie for one of the vice president positions along with Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee and Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin.
Muhyiddin wanted Azmin to fill the position of secretary general while the incumbent, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin becomes Bersatu’s number two man, the Star reported.
There were some rivalry involving Azmin and Hamzah in the past.
