Motion to suspend Machang MP for six months to be tabled today
Ahmad Fadhli Shaari (PN-Pasir Mas) questions Communication Minister Fahmi Fadzil on specific laws that involves cooperation across the ministries to table specific laws to overcome cyberbully incidents. This is one of the three issues raised during Ministers Question Time.
Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan (Kuala Pilah) requests government’s action plan from the Prime Minister to fortify the halal industry to the micro, small, medium entrepreneurs, Bumiputera companies, rural companies and young entrepreneurs so that Malaysia becomes an international halal market pioneer.
Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh (PH-Ledang) questions Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof regarding micro plastics as the latest pollutant that endangers resources and water supply.
During the oral reply session Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan (PN-Kota Bharu) questions Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution on the government’s study and engagements to decriminalise drug abuse.
Ramkarpal Singh (PH-Bukit Gelugor) questions Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail on the number of complaints filed under the Independent Police Conduct Commission Act 2022 in the past five years and the outcome of the complaints. He also questioned IPCC’s effectiveness.
Motion to refer Wan Ahmad Fayshal Wan Ahmad Kamal (PN-Machang) to the Rights and Privileges Committee would be tabled today as he claimed that he knew the mastermind behind the takeover of Malaysia Airports Berhad using a poison pen letter.
This happened on July 1 while debating the Suhakam report. The individual he named was Shahazwan Harris alias Juan, an Employment Provident Fund officer. The MP had used the poison pen letter and tarnished the reputation of the individual and related government agency.
Given this, the motion calls for Wan Ahmad Fayshal to be suspended from the attending Dewan Rakyat sessions and select committee meetings for a period of six months.
