International students in UiTM to meet ranking requirements

Universiti Teknologi Mara accepts international students as it is a prerequisite to be listed in QS World University Rankings.

“It is also an element that is measured by the Malaysia Research Assessment (MyRA),” explained Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.

The international students are only accepted for postgraduate studies.

There has been a steady increase of international students UiTM with merely 276 students in 2019 and 1634 students in 2023, she also said.

She said this in a written reply to Pang Hok Liong (PH-Labis) who asked for the number of students in UiTM since 2013 to 2023.
