Najib has not settled his tax arrears

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has not settled his income tax arrears and has not reached a conclusive end on this matter, confirmed Finance Minister.

“There case proceedings are ongoing and the next hearing at the Insolvency High Court in Kuala Lumpur is scheduled on 29 July 2024.”

The Finance Minister said this in a written reply to RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) who questioned whether the former prime minister had settled his tax arrears amounting to RM1.7 billion.
