KJ still very much in love with Umno

Former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar is still very much in love with his party, even though he was sacked by Umno 18 months ago in a major purge.

He who is better known as KJ still has feelings for Umno which made him decline offers from parties from Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional coalitions.

“For one who is sacked, he is still in love with his old party. That is why I did not go out,” he said at the Malaysian Family Run 2024 yesterday, reported Sinar Harian.

The same cannot be said of his feelings for current Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

He has also taken a wait and see approach towards Zahid Hamidi’s recent statement. The latter said many have applied to rejoin the party.

“That is an interesting statement from Zahid Hamidi. Let’s wait and see,” he is reported to have said.

The applications would be vetted by Umno disciplinary board before Umno management committee sees it through.
