Plane crashes during takeoff in Nepal
A plane crashed during takeoff at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal early this morning.
There were 19 people on board the aircraft belonging to Saurya Airlines.
A total of 18 bodies have been recovered from the crash site and flight captain was rushed to hospital, reported Kathmandu Post.
The accident occurred after the Pokhara bound flight suffered a runway excursion during takeoff.
The plane was taking off from the Southern-end of the runway and suddenly flipped with the wing tip hitting the ground.
The aircraft caught fire immediately. It then plunged to a gorge on the eastern side of the runway.
