Microsoft not planning to limit CrowdStrike’s Windows access

Microsoft Corp has no intention of restricting CrowdStrike’s access to the Windows operating system, despite causing the global tech outage.

A defective update to CrowdStrike’s security software caused computers running Microsoft’s Windows operating system to crash, leading to a global tech outage.

An individual with knowledge of the situation revealed the information, reported Reuters.

On July 19, a global IT outage affected major institutions, including airlines, banks, media outlets, and hospitals across several countries.

CrowdStrike responded by addressing the issue.

Following the incident, the company’s CEO, George Kurtz, confirmed via social media that the issue had been identified, isolated, and resolved.
