Eight areas in Peninsula Malaysia are on hot weather alerts

Eight areas in Peninsula Malaysia were issued with a hot weather warning by The Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

A Level 1 hot weather alert has been issued for the following regions: Larut Matang and Matang in Perak; Gombak in Selangor; Kuala Krai in Kelantan; and five areas in Pahang—Raub, Temerloh, Maran, Bentong, and Rompin.

“The maximum temperature in the said areas are expected to reach between 35°C and 37°C for at least three consecutive days,” MetMalaysia said via a Facebook post today.
