I don’t wish to be bitten by the same snake twice – Zahid
Representatives from Perikatan Nasional wanted to meet Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to discuss potential alliances in the 16th general elections, revealed the latter.
Zahid, however, is reluctant since he did not wish to be bitten by the same snake twice.
“There were ‘delegates’ eager for a meeting with myself and Anwar. However, I am not inclined to entertain such meetings at this time.
“I don’t wish to be bitten by the same snake twice at the same place,” he said when officiating the Tebrau Umno Division representative meeting at Dewan Muafakat Johor in Taman Adda, Johor Baru last night.
Zahid is steadfast in his stand of not cooperating with Pas as long as Hadi leads Pas.
The issue of Pas wanting to cooperate with Umno was brought up recently when Pas Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari who is also Pasir Mas MP claimed that Pas met with Umno people to discuss on cooperating over common Malay issues.
