Puad throws jabs and hooks on Bersatu over Nenggiri

Umno supreme council member Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi threw his jabs and hooks on Bersatu that would be contesting in the Nenggiri by-election in Kelantan.

He claimed that the splinter party never had originality.

“From the beginning, Bersatu never had originality. Its key leaders are from Umno.

“Its name, colours and policies are copied from Umno.

“Its candidate is borrowed from Pas,” he said on his Facebook page.

This was following Bersatu Kelantan chief Kamaruddin Mohd Nor defending his party’s decision in nominating former Gua Musang Pas Youth leader, Rizwadi Ismail, as its candidate.

Rizwadi was named as Bersatu candidate two days after joining the party.

Kamaruddin claimed that the move was necessary to fulfill the wishes of voters.

“That is not according to the wishes of voters, it is based on the wishes of Pas. Bersatu has become a copycat party by toeing to Pas demands.

“That is why he also did the self swearing oath.”

Nomination for the Nenggiri by-election would be held on Aug 3. The polls is scheduled for Aug 17.

Rizwadi is expected to take on Kelantan Umno Youth chief Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani.
