Mahkota state assemblywoman dies

Mahkota state assemblywoman Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain of BN passed away today.

This was confirmed Johor speaker Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi who posted his condolences on Facebook.

She had been admitted into Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Kluang after an internal bleeding issue recurred.

The 63-year-old won the Mahkota seat during the Johor state polls in 2022 with a 5,166 votes in a three cornered fight. She had previously represented Penawar for a term.
