Moon people, remember Pas For All?
Political scientist James Chin questioned whether the federal opposition party Pas remembers its own slogan Pas For All.
“Moon people finally telling the truth. The majority will rule over minorities.
“All this while they said they will protect minority rights. Remember Pas For All?
“The reason why they will never respect minorities is simple – its a religious thing, hence non negotiable,” said the academic who is with University of Tasmania.
He said this in response to Terengganu exco Khalil Hadi defending the banning of female singers at Guan Di temple in Kuala Terengganu.
The female singers, Khalil said, were banned because they were in open space.
The issue was first raised by Seputeh MP Teresa Kok of the DAP.
Chin added that the action of Pas proves why political Islam is bad for multicultural Malaysia.
“That is why I have consistently said using political Islam to decide public policy is bad for a multicultural Malaysia.
“I hope Sabahans and Sarawakians learn to never allow Moon to enter the state legislative assembly.”
