Terengganu Pas govt deliberately creating problems

Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli mentioned that with the launch of the IC design hub in Petaling Jaya, the government hopes to attract more IC design companies to the country and will work to create a more comprehensive ecosystem to cover the entire industry chain from upstream to downstream, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Kwong Wah Daily headlined that Transport Minister Anthony Loke pointed out that current laws are inadequate for strictly dealing with drug-impaired drivers, as they can only be prosecuted after causing an accident.

Editorial

Sin Chew Daily said the looming Middle Eastern war, the U.S. economic downturn, and the Federal Reserve’s decision to maintain interest rates have triggered a global stock market panic.

If conflicts between Israel and Iran or Lebanon are unavoidable, this global market crash may just be a prelude to a new Gulf War, added the daily.

Nanyang Daily believes Terengganu Pas government is deliberately seeking to cause trouble for the Guan Di temple by insisting that passing male Muslims able to view the female performers performing at the Guandi Temple, despite the event being held in a designated religious area with no Muslim participants, as per Terengganu guidelines.

Pas’s focus on this issue, during a period meant for unity on National Day, appears shockingly divisive and entirely out of touch with the celebratory spirit, added the daily.
