Annuar Musa, a traitor like Hang Jebat not a commander
Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi took on his former colleague Tan Sri Annuar Musa who is now in Pas by labelling him a traitor like Hang Jebat.
“While campaigning in Meranto, Annuar Musa claimed that he was Kelantan Umno’s commander as he was a division chief for 37 years and a Supreme Council Member for 28 years.
“Commanders don’t run away or stab from the back. Nik Abduh should include Annuar in the list of Hang Jebat, just like Jailani.
Pas senator Nik Abduh Nik Mat praised Rembia state assemblyman Datuk Muhammad Jailani Khamis of Melaka for joining Pas a year ago and announced it recently. He equated him to Hang Jebat.
Puad then went on to highlight Annuar’s chequered past track record.
“He claimed to have done roads in Gua Musang but he is implicated by many controversies. A 30 month suspension by FAM, suspended as Mara chairman including the PPRT project in Kelantan.
“He manipulated the issue of Muafakat Nasional. He should question why Pas courted both sies. Why invite Bersatu but blocked Amanah from joining MN?
MN originally was an informal cooperation between Pas and Umno. It then evolved into an NGO that called for the unity of the Malays.
“He tried to champion the Rome Statute and ICERD issue. Why didn’t he thrash Saifuddin Abdullah who was on the stage with him. He (Saifuddin) was the one who wanted the ratification of ICERD and Rome Statute.
The International Convention for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and Rome Statute are UN conventions. Signing Rome Statute would enable Malaysia to file a case in the International Court of Justice.
The ratification attempt was spearheaded by Saifuddin during Tun Dr Mahathir’s second innings as Prime Minister with Pakatan Harapan.
“He played up the Kesedar land issue. He was Rural Development Minister and Kesedar was under his jurisdiction. Why is he not responding to allegations by Galas state assemblyman
Puad also raised the issue of a new company getting a forest project HSK Perias, Hulu Nenggiri which involves a 202 hectares of land.
The issues are raised in light of the Nenggiri by-election scheduled on Aug 17.
