Bersatu VP admits they didn’t have the best man for Nenggiri

The most suitable candidate in Nenggiri was not a Bersatu candidate after all.

This was admitted by Bersatu vice president Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin.

“Of the many… there was one candidate who fit the requirement but he is a Pas man and the Nenggiri seat is Bersatu’s.

“Our goal is to look for the best candidate. So I told Pas to give Rizwadi so that he can be our party member before it was agreed upon by Pas,” he said, reported Berita Harian.

He was speaking at a press conference in Gua Musang.

Bersatu has fielded Mohd Rizwadi Ismail against Kelantan Umno Youth chief Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani in a straight fight.

The Nenggiri by-election is scheduled to take place on Aug 17.
