A KL Chinese school alerts parents to scammers posing as parents

A Chinese primary school in KL warned parents of scammers posing as parents to obtain information about their children.

“If parents receive similar messages, they should not disclose any personal information and should contact the class teacher.

“If parents need to take their child out of school early due to an urgent matter or illness, they must inform the class teacher and fill out an early departure form at the administration office before taking the child home,” the school said in a parents-teacher Whatsapp group.

This warning comes after parents complained that they have been contacted by fraudsters who have been impersonating teachers or other parents to contact them.

This scammer may be trying to deceive parents, so the school advises them to exercise caution when contacted by anonymous callers.
