Sin Chew Daily said that Thailand has repeatedly experienced short-lived governments.
The excessive power of the judiciary and independent organisations has disrupted the checks and balances inherent in a democratic system, exposing its flaws, which should serve as a lesson for other countries, said the daily.
Nanyang Daily said that if the income report for the second quarter of 2023 released by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is accurate, then the total revenue of RM36.7 billion in the first half of 2024, compared to RM33.19 billion in the first half of 2023, represents only a 10% increase, indicating a relatively stable growth, far from last year’s impressive 40% increase.
The daily added that should the data announced by EPF on August 6th prove accurate, it would imply that last year’s data was inaccurate.
