Six election offences probed in Nenggiri

A total of six election offences are being probed since nomination day are being probed by the police in relations to the Nenggiri by-election, said Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun.

The six came from 18 police reports.

The offences included incitement and posting offensive remarks.

“One of the cases involved an individual who edited a video of a ceramah organised by a political party during the Nenggiri by-election campaign,” he said after visiting SMK Sungai Asap polling centre.

“Once completed, police will hand over the papers to the deputy public prosecutor’s office, he added, reported New Straits Times.

A total of 250 ceramah and political campaign permits were issued.

The Nenggiri by-election is a straight fight involving BN’s Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani and PN’s Rizwadi Ismail.
